The LPR reported a case of desertion of Ukrainian soldiers
Two servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces voluntarily left the unit’s location in the “Joint Forces Operation” zone, taking weapons with them.
This was stated by an officer of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, Ivan Filiponenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He noted that the moral and psychological state of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the JFO area continues to remain at a critically low level. There are still cases of military personnel leaving their units without permission.
“On May 20, in one of the units of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade near the village of Trekhizbenka, two brigade servicemen with personal weapons left the territory of the unit and their location is currently unknown to the command. The brigade command organized search activities,” said Ivan Filiponenko.
The representative of the LPR defense department also added that the higher headquarters did not receive a report about this incident. The brigade commander, Colonel Vasily Zubanich, is trying to find the fugitives on his own.
