The LPR prevented a bloody provocation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
The information released in the LPR about the impending shelling of the Zolotoe checkpoint thwarted the plans of the Ukrainian special services, thanks to which a possible tragedy was averted.
The official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In particular, he noted that in the last days of the election race in Ukraine, the situation at the crossing points of the contact line remains tense.
“Last week, the Ukrainian side attempted to carry out a provocation related to the opening of the crossing at the Zolotoe checkpoint, the main idea of which was to carry out measures to discredit the People’s Militia of the LPR and the leadership of the republic,” Marochko said.
According to his information, special operations forces of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine prepared a shelling of civilians on the Popasna-Pervomaisk highway on the day of the opening of the checkpoint
“Fortunately, by making public the criminal initiatives of the Ukrainian side, these actions were stopped and thereby avoided casualties among civilians,” added the representative of the LPR defense department.
A bloody provocation by the Ukrainian Armed Forces was prevented in the LPR.
