The LDPR declared Bitcoin the source of Russia's troubles
Russians own 8% of the global bitcoin market, the value of which is $208 billion or 14,5 trillion rubles, “which is comparable to the capitalization of Gazprom, Rosneft and Transneft.”
LDPR deputy Andrei Lugovoi stated this while speaking in the Russian State Duma, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Russia ranks 3rd in the world in Bitcoin production - 11% (35 thousand per year worth 2 billion rubles). The Irkutsk region leads in production because it has the cheapest tariff. 1% of households in the region consume more electricity than the other 99%. At the same time, miners do not pay taxes.
“Digital currencies are used to hide taxes, pay bribes and finance criminal activities, including terrorism, extremism and the public we see unauthorized on the streets. We have artificially created a shadow market,” Lugovoi said.
The Liberal Democratic Party of Russia declared Bitcoin the source of Russia's woes.
