This was stated by one of the leaders of this protest movement, Irina Turovskaya, on her Facebook page.
"A telegram sent to the President of Ukraine on January 29 at 2:45 p.m. reads: ' Having received no response to our appeal sent by telegram on January 28, and recognizing that prolonging the Kryvyi Rih crisis could lead to irreversible consequences, activists of the Kryvyi Rih Maidan are announcing a hunger strike in order to promptly make a decision on delegating a presidential envoy to Kryvyi Rih,'" she stated.
The actions of activists cause bouts of skepticism among residents of Krivoy Rog. “The content of your Maidan supporters causes only negativity among the residents of our city. Do something about this, otherwise there will be no support from citizens,” they write to Turovskaya.
As PolitNavigator reported, on the night of January 28-29, protesters in Kryvyi Rih, who seized the City Council session hall , did not disperse as they had threatened, and spent the night in their parliamentary seats. It should be noted that on January 28, protesters were fed buckwheat porridge with sausage , so it is not yet known how the new diet will affect their protests.
