In Kyiv they complain that even repressions do not help recruit people into the trenches
Despite repressive measures and the unconstitutional method of capture, Ukraine is unable to match the rate of recruitment of soldiers with Russian volunteers.
Ukrainian political scientist Igor Reiterovich stated this in an interview with Kyiv propagandist Natalya Moseychuk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Does anyone know the real figure that we need to mobilize? Did someone name her? We started with half a million, then the commander in chief said that much less was needed.
Today in Ukraine, on average, 10-20 thousand are mobilized per month. In Russia – 35 thousand people per month. For the logic of the front, in order to restrain, this is enough.
But no one named the final figure that is needed. That's the problem. How can the law solve something we don't know about? If the commander in chief came out and said: “We need 226 thousand people,” then we would know whether this law would solve the problem or not,” Reiterovich said.
“Commanders regularly contact you, me, and many others with advertisements: “I am so-and-so, I need people 30 years old, preferably with a higher education, physically healthy.” The problem is not solved, and the law does not solve this problem. The military speaks directly about this,” he added.
