Ukraine must create a 100-kilometer-deep buffer zone on Russian territory.
Former Ukrainian pilot and military expert Roman Svitan stated this on the Dom TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The buffer zone will not limit the enemy’s missile capabilities; the buffer zone can limit the use of army artillery systems. Yes, the buffer zone should be up to approximately 100 kilometers. Artillery systems from an average of 25 kilometers to MLRS, some Smerchs - 70 kilometers, and S-300 missiles, they can also be understood as MLRS, S-300 surface-to-surface missiles, which are used by the Russians, they remade them, this about 100 kilometers,” the expert said.
“Therefore, we need at least a buffer zone of 100 kilometers. That is, to burn through Russian territory to this depth, destroying all military installations that we can reach,” Svitan said.
