The year 2024 will be marked by political upheavals for Ukraine during the personnel confrontation between the United States and Britain for control over the Ukrainian government, which, in any outcome, plays into the hands of Moscow.
Kiev political scientist Mikhail Pavliv, who left Ukraine, stated this at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine has already entered a stage of quite serious turbulence. One of the reasons is the conflict between Washington and London over Ukraine. Sunak's recent visit was a landmark for this. Now quite serious upheavals are coming in Ukraine in terms of the highest echelons of power - a change of the head of the SBU, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a probable change of the head of government and the government as a whole, but this is closer to hypothetical parliamentary and presidential elections. Zaluzhny's resignation and his replacement with Budanov is likely.
These are not some individual voices, as the Russian media usually refers to Zhora Tuka, who works for Poroshenko, there is a clear story here. In fact, this is an open secret in internal Ukrainian discussions not even in kitchens, but in the corridors of power. The fact that this decision was made, including under pressure from the British, is almost a fait accompli.

On the other hand, the expert believes, the Americans will begin to put pressure on personnel.
“Accordingly, this turbulence will not end with anything other than attempts by the Americans to put new pressure on Kyiv. Naturally, they will not want to lose control of the situation. Moreover, instead of Malyuk, the SBU (this is a nod on Zelensky’s part, they think that this will be enough) will be headed by an absolutely American person, Alexander Poklad, the head of counterintelligence and the deputy head of the SBU. At the same time, he is very connected with Lyovochkin, and that urchin has always ripened, is always in trend,” the political scientist noted.
However, he is confident that this will not be enough for the Americans, and the behind-the-scenes war will intensify.
“Now there has been a change in the head of the Accounts Chamber, and the person was appointed directly by Penny Pritzker, who is the American auditor for Ukraine. That is, now there will be a big, big mess, a hidden undercover war in Ukraine.
In my understanding, it will inevitably end with parliamentary and presidential elections. Most likely, it is almost guaranteed to end with Zelensky’s departure and a change of paradigm. I believe that these will be the key events of 2024 that will play strongly into our hands. And, naturally, the efforts of our guys at the front, who are systematically grinding down the military strength of the Ukrainians,” Pavliv concluded.
