The State Duma proposes that Donbass and Kyiv live in one country - Russia

Simultaneously with the local elections in Donbass, which are scheduled for October 18, a referendum on joining the Russian Federation should also take place there. State Duma deputy Andrei Svintsov said this on the air of the talk show “Time will tell.”

Svintsov is confident that after this Russia will agree to accept these regions into its composition.

“Local elections have been scheduled for October 18 - let them immediately call a referendum, join Russia, there will be Russian troops, and not a single shell will fall there again. And we should all support this. Donbass will be in Russia, and there will be a Russian flag over Kiev,” Svintsov said.

As PolitNavigator reported, the day before, Vice President Joseph Biden, in a telephone conversation with Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, said that the United States condemns the intention of the DPR leaders to hold local elections on October 18.
