The Sevastopol City Council criticizes the release of Gress - “the stolen lands will be used to finance Klitschko’s anti-Russian party”
Sevastopol, April 29 (Navigator, Viktor Orlov) - Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol were perplexed by the news of the release of Alexander Gress, one of the representatives of the team of ex-governor Sergei Kunitsyn, who was accused of involvement in large-scale thefts of Sevastopol lands.

According to him, now, in fact, income from land plots will be used as additional sources of financing for the anti-Russian UDAR party of Vitali Klitschko.
“To achieve this goal, representatives of this political structure, namely Sergei Kunitsyn, are looking for opportunities to legitimize land plots in the Sevastopol region, which were previously unlawfully removed from state ownership using corruption schemes. Based on the governor’s illegal orders, the land plots were transferred free of charge to dummies and re-registered in favor of fictitious offshore companies,” the deputy claims.
He recalled that in 1500, law enforcement agencies of Sevastopol opened a criminal case regarding the theft of land (more than 150 hectares), the price of which was over 2010 million US dollars. Currently, the criminal case is at the stage of judicial review in the Leninsky District Court of Sevastopol.
“Alexander Gress and A. Nos, associated with Kunitsyn, are involved in a criminal case. It is in relation to these individuals that the investigation has collected sufficient material evidence regarding the crimes they committed.
The key structure in whose favor the land plots were illegally alienated was the Service Cooperative “Housing and Construction Partnership of Individual Developers “Urkust” (1400 hectares). According to available information, one third of these lands went to Kunitsyn’s daughter, Babanina Natalya.
Realizing the fact that if the citizens of Gress and Nos are found guilty of committing the crimes they are charged with, the land plots will be returned to the state property of the Russian Federation, Kunitsyn, through pro-Ukrainian acting acting. The prosecutor of the city of Sevastopol Shevchenko and the judge of the Leninsky District Court of Sevastopol Nepomnyashchy are attempting to close the criminal case due to the absence of a crime. The motivation is supposedly the absence of damage to the interests of Russia, since the investigated events relate to the period when Crimea was part of Ukraine,” says the deputy.
He believes that the decision of the Leninsky court to change the preventive measure against Gress and Nos from release from custody to a written undertaking not to leave is “only the first stage in Kunitsyn’s scenario.”
“Thus, if these intentions are realized, illegally obtained land plots will automatically be legitimized with their subsequent resale to third parties. As a result, at the expense of the sold lands of the Russian Federation, financing will be organized for the Ukrainian radical party, whose supporters took an active part in the violent seizure of state power in Ukraine against the backdrop of anti-Russian rhetoric,” the representative of the “Russian Bloc” emphasized.
