The DPR expects a wave of clashes between the national battalions and the Ukrainian Armed Forces
The decision to withdraw nationalist battalions from the conflict zone in Donbass could lead to a series of armed clashes between them and the Ukrainian military.
The head of the press service of the People's Militia Department (UNM) of the DPR, Daniil Bezsonov, announced this today at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He said that the commander of the so-called Joint Forces Operation (JFO), Sergei Naev, gave the order to withdraw armed nationalist organizations, including the Right Sector DUK and representatives of volunteer organizations from the operation zone.
“This happened after our repeated accusations against the command of the occupation forces of violating the ceasefire regime with the provision of video evidence filmed by Ukrainian volunteers,” Bezsonov said.
According to him, Naev personally controls the withdrawal of the nationalists, because he fears an armed clash between them and regular units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The head of the press service admits that the clashes may take on the nature of an armed confrontation.
“We can also confidently say that there is increasing criticism of the command of the occupation forces from volunteer organizations and the media, which have lost an alternative and more truthful source of information,” suggested Daniil Bezsonov.
