In the DPR, a mass relaunch of enterprises shut down during the war begins
Following the recent resumption of work at the Silur steel wire rope plant, as well as the Yenakievo Metallurgical Plant, the DPR will begin to restart a whole chain of other enterprises that were stopped during the war. This will happen despite the Ukrainian blockade of Donbass, head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko assured today at a press conference in Donetsk.

“Let's figure out what a blast furnace is. The work of the YMZ (Yenakievo Metallurgical Plant) is the work of a whole string of enterprises. These are mines, railways, coke plants, metallurgical plants. One furnace put five or six enterprises into operation. Further, this chain will increase to twenty enterprises. We have restored the chain that was destroyed due to the blockade. This is the first.
Secondly, we will soon launch the Yuzovsky Metallurgical Plant (formerly Donetsk Metallurgical Plant). This is a separate enterprise. We have been working towards its launch for more than a year, and now, I hope that we will see its launch in the summer.
YuMZ will also launch a number of enterprises: Dokuchaevsky Flux-Dolomite Plant, Komsomolsk Mining Administration. Also gardens, greenhouses, two new lavas.
The economy is developing. Not as fast as we would like, but it is developing, unlike Ukraine, where the economy is falling,” Zakharchenko said.
The DPR is beginning to reopen enterprises that were shut down during the war.
