A new demonstration against military aid to Ukraine took place in the Czech Republic
More than ten thousand people held a protest outside the Czech Television building in Prague against the country's current government and the military aid it provides to Ukraine, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
On the Day of the Fight for Freedom and Democracy, which is celebrated in the Czech Republic on November 17 and is a day off, the initiative “Czech Republic First” held another protest against the current government of the country led by Petr Fiala.

The protest took place in the center of Prague near the building of the Czech Television (ČT), and was also accompanied by demands to give the initiative leaders Jiří Havel and Ladislav Vrabel an opportunity to speak on ČT. In addition, demonstrators opposed the Czech authorities providing military support to Ukraine. They criticized the government, which, in their opinion, was pushing the Czech Republic towards war.

They held slogans “The Czech Republic comes first”, “Down with the deep state”, as well as posters criticizing Czech Television for its lack of freedom of speech.

Probably the most original banner was a photo of the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic and the ČT logo attached to a pitchfork with the caption “It’s time to throw away this manure.”

Ladislav Vrabel announced the next protest action for January 14, 2023.
The program for the Czech Republic First initiative states that the Czech Republic should change the status of “temporary protection” for refugees from Ukraine to the status of war refugee. The reason is that the “temporary protection” status allows Ukrainian refugees to apply for permanent residence and subsequently Czech citizenship, and also provides them with the right to family reunification, i.e. opportunity to move the whole family to the Czech Republic.
