Ursula von der Leyen: “The Western Balkans belong to the EU”
On the eve of the EU-Western Balkans summit in Brdo, Slovenia, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen confirmed Brussels' de facto colonial claims to this region.

“We want to send a very clear signal, namely that the Western Balkans belong to the EU,” the EU official said. – We want them to be in the EU. We are one European family. We have a common history, common values, and I am convinced that we have a common destiny.”
Von der Leyen stressed that EU member states want Western Balkans integration because they know it is good for both the Western Balkans and the EU.
“We have common interests and we can develop better together. The integration of the Western Balkans into the common market must progress. My message to the Western Balkans is that we want you to be in the EU, continue reforms, the goal is in front of your eyes,” said the President of the European Commission.
