Stubborn Stoltenberg: “Ukraine can count on NATO support”
NATO countries will continue to provide military support to Ukraine, but its size and timing have not yet been determined.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated this during a speech in Brussels, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the Black Sea, Ukraine drove back the Russian fleet, which allowed it to continue exporting grain to world markets. Ukrainians are not running out of courage - they are running out of ammunition.
We need to step up now to ensure our support is long-term. Today we discussed how to put our support on a stronger and more sustainable basis for the future. All allies agree to support Ukraine at this critical moment. Ukraine can count on NATO support now and in the long term,” Stoltenberg said.
However, he refused to give any specific numbers or deadlines, citing the fact that they would still be discussed.
“I will not share details because we are now in the process of developing a more reliable and sustainable institutional framework to support Ukraine,” added the NATO Secretary General.
