Ukrainian people's deputy stole $20 million from the state bank
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau is investigating the theft of 20 million US dollars from a state bank, organized by a people's deputy, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
It is noted that the perpetrators of the crime were relatives and business partners of the people’s deputy.
The probable participants in the theft abused their official position, forged documents and used them with the complicity of bank officials, who also abused their official position.
“More than a dozen people are now suspected of involvement in the illegal acts committed,” the SAPO says.
Law enforcement officers do not name the deputy and do not specify which bank they are talking about.
