Ukrainian military: “Bet on us. We didn't start this war. The tank will crush politicians"

While the fighting is going on, the current Ukrainian politicians are nothing to the warring army.

This was stated by Ukrainian military analyst and retired Ukrainian Armed Forces Colonel Roman Svitan in a video blog by journalist Alexander Shelest, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Since the war was started by politicians, or rather those recruited from the street and saying that they are politicians. They started the war, we didn’t start it. Not a single soldier wanted to fight. Real soldiers never strive for war. They understand perfectly well how wars end. Deaths, big problems in the future and so on. If you don’t want any more war, put the military in charge, and there won’t be a war,” Svitan said.

According to him, the military knows how to avoid war - by increasing the country’s defense capability, while current Ukrainian politicians “have problems” with this.

“They are all sent along the course of the Russian ship. They all simply became useless to anyone. They allowed the war to happen. And after the guns start talking, all these masters of conversation and whistling must fall silent. Only they don’t understand this,” says the colonel.

He says that he does not see a conflict between the military and politicians, comparing the latter to Moska barking at an elephant.

“They are nothing to us, and there is no way to call them. At least while the fighting is going on... The tank will not notice any politician, he will smear him and move on, not even realizing that this is the most important master of artistic whistling,” the retired military man more than transparently hints at President Zelensky, a former comedian and showman.

According to Svitan, the military should not go to the Verkhovna Rada.

“The military should be the basis of the executive branch, the state department, which is, by and large, a government, but only an executive one, like the State Department in the United States,” sums up Svitan.
