Ukrainian nationalists staged a fight in the United States over disputes about Bandera
In the United States, representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora started a fight over a dispute between supporters of two competing groups in the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, one of which was oriented toward Stepan Bandera, and the other toward Andrei Melnyk.
Ukrainian TV presenter Pyotr Maga spoke about this on channel 112, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Maga cited the fight as an example of the fact that the idea of “reconciliation” with the OUN-UPA militants, imposed by the Maidanists, will be extremely difficult to implement, since the nationalists themselves cannot reconcile in their disputes around the leaders of Hitler’s collaborators.
“I saw people in America, among whom Melnik and Bandera are still trying to figure out who is the greater patriot! Once upon a time, two orchestras had a fight with each other, fought with trumpets, beat each other with saxophones, because one was Melnik’s and the other was Bandera’s. At that moment I stopped believing that the Ukrainian people were generally capable of reconciliation a priori,” said Maga.
