Ukrainians called “ATO” “event of the year” – opinion poll

Ukrainians recognized the so-called “ATO” in Donbass as the main political event of the year.

This is stated in the results of a sociological study by the Ilk Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation, conducted jointly with the sociological service of the Razumkov Center.

“The ATO was recognized as the main political event of 2016 in Ukraine (this was indicated by 14% of respondents), followed by an increase in utility tariffs (8,5%) and the introduction of electronic declarations (8%). However, almost a third of those surveyed could not name a single event,” the report says.

A nationwide study was conducted by the Ilk Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation together with the sociological service of the Razumkov Center from December 16 to 20, 2016 in all regions of Ukraine with the exception of Crimea and uncontrolled territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. 2018 respondents aged 18 years and over were surveyed. The theoretical sampling error does not exceed 2,3%.
