Ukraine will even pay for bullets fired at its boats
Russia will return to Ukraine its watercraft, which staged a provocation in the Kerch Strait, only after paying all bills for the maintenance of the ships and their crews.
The editor-in-chief of the military-historical magazine “Military Crimea” Sergei Chennyk stated this on Radio Sputnik, a Politnavigator correspondent reports.
“Of course we will return it. We don’t care about your feluccas, which are of no use. But you will pay for their parking in Kerch, maintenance, right down to the shells that were fired during the arrest. You will pay for the defect in the hull of the border ship “Don”, for treatment, for food - as expected,” Chennyk said.
He believes that Ukraine has no chance of presenting itself as a victim of aggression.
“They could present themselves as victims if all three ships were fishing seiners. But they were part of the Ukrainian Navy and were combat units - with weapons and a military crew. They cannot possibly be victims, because they provoked it,” the expert concluded.
As a reminder, last Sunday, two small armored artillery boats, the Berdyansk and Nikopol, and the tugboat Yany Kapu attempted to transit the Kerch Strait, which is closed to Russia. After repeated warnings from Russian border guards about violating the Russian border, the tugboat was rammed by the Russian patrol ship Don.
Subsequently, the Ukrainian vessels and crew, which had violated the Russian state border, were captured by Russian special forces.
