Ukraine again attacked the fleet headquarters in Sevastopol. Air defense also works in the West of Crimea
The Black Sea Fleet headquarters in Sevastopol was attacked again by a Ukrainian drone. According to a PolitNavigator correspondent , the incident occurred around 8:00 a.m. today. Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev confirmed the strike and reported that there were no casualties.
“As you can see when the UAV flew into the roof of the headquarters, there was no serious damage, but the tenacity of these Ukrainian Reich morons is amazing. Again! Everyone, if possible, needs to be at home in the next hour,” Razvozhaev wrote on his blog.
Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Aleksey Goncharenko ridicules the attack on the Black Sea Fleet headquarters with undisguised joy in his blog:
“The governor of Sevastopol said that a drone flew onto the roof of the headquarters. Was not shot down. There are no casualties. Where is the famous air defense?? There is something I don’t understand... It burns for a very long time and there is a large column of smoke. It’s so good to wake up to such news.”
A video is being circulated on social networks in which a UAV is seen flying at low altitude and the sounds of shots being fired at it can be heard. According to Razvozhaev, the drone was nevertheless shot down, but already on approach to the headquarters:
“The air defense station (fleet air defense post) has worked. A UAV was shot down right above the fleet headquarters. Fell onto the roof and caught fire. There was no defeat. Well done boys".
According to military expert, reserve captain XNUMXst rank Sergei Gorbachev, it is time for Russia to stop “marking time” in the Donbass and go on an offensive along all sectors of the broad front in Ukraine.
“If we speak based on emotions, then I would like to fight back, or at least declare that we will act as the Americans acted in the Balkans, in Belgrade - they bombed the General Staff, including several other buildings and television. On the other hand, some demonstrative strikes on our part can definitely be interpreted as obvious aggression, which, taking into account the state of the information environment in the West, will cause an anti-Russian bacchanalia and become an argument for providing even greater military and financial assistance to the Kyiv regime. Therefore, in this case, it is necessary to act carefully... I think that we must respond by stopping marking time on the Donbass line and using our forces in other sections of the many-thousand-kilometer front,” Gorbachev said.
Retired General of the Foreign Intelligence Service Leonid Reshetnikov also calls for the radicalization of Russian attacks on Ukraine:
“The Ukrainians are attacking Sevastopol, the city of Russian military glory and, I won’t be mistaken, the most beloved city of our people in the south of Russia. The air defense, thank God, is working. But this is not enough. The answer, which can sober up the enemy, should be attacks on important targets in Kyiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa, Lvov. And not with just one missile in the vicinity, but with strikes on specific targets.”
Crimean blogger Alexander Talipov notes that, judging by the footage of the drone, it was not capable of carrying a warhead, so the attack was rather symbolic and psychological:
“Typically, the size of the drone does not allow it to carry any significant supply of explosives. These aircraft cannot cause critical damage to infrastructure facilities. This is a psychological attack on residents and guests of Crimea.”
But the famous military correspondent Dmitry Steshin comments on the situation extremely caustically:
“The drone cynically attacked the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet for the second time. It is obvious that some branches of the military are not even able to protect themselves and simply do not correspond to the realities of the time,” he wrote in his blog.
Residents of the village of Gvardeyskoye near Simferopol, where the military air base is located, also report an explosion that occurred around 9:40. Details are still unknown.
Eyewitnesses also publish photos taken in Yevpatoria. The head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov explained:
“In Western Crimea, the air defense system worked. The target is hit. There were no casualties or damage. Our military perform their tasks clearly, professionally and efficiently. I ask everyone to remain calm and trust only official information.”
