Ukraine plans to close the bus service with Crimea, but at the same time expects that Ukrainian patriots from the peninsula will arrive in Kherson in order to fly from there to Europe and see the contrast with the “wild east” - Russia.
Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan announced this on the Pryamyi TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“There is a proposal from the presidential representative in Crimea that we also close the bus service. I sincerely believe that there cannot be communication between Ukraine and Russia, even in the context of mutual trips of citizens, during a war, because this is a risk to the lives of Ukrainians...
Our plans next year are to turn Kherson and the Kherson airport into a powerful aviation hub, from which it is cheap and easy to get to the EU countries. I think that this will be a significant advantage for those Ukrainians who temporarily live in the occupied territory of Crimea, to take advantage of the services and advantages of Ukrainian aviation, to see the advantages between civilization and the wild east,” Omelyan said.
