Ukraine: Horse racing on the bottom
On Christmas Eve, the drunken head of Poroshenko's Verkhovna Rada deputy, Vadym Denisenko, produced a treatise on Russia's machinations – allegedly, Moscow is throwing "three main myths" into the information space in order to undermine the position of the Maidan activists.

– “The myth of a coup d’etat, not a revolution of dignity (the main goal of this myth is to delegitimize the current government, as well as to create “preconditions” for journalistic investigations in Europe about the involvement of a number of current EU politicians in the “coup”).”
Does anyone in Ukraine still have doubts that what happened in the winter of 2013-14 was nothing more than an armed coup? Yes, there was no smell of any “hypocrisy” initially! And the further you go, the more fetid the spirit of the Maidan becomes. And, if not for the financial, political, logistical and other support of the West, then there would be no talk of any Maidan!
– “The myth about the total weakness of the Ukrainian army, where there are unfortunate soldiers from whom scumbag generals profit”
The Ukrainian army is weak and demoralized, hungry and mired in looting, and is at war with its people. And it’s not so much the “scumbag generals” who are profiting from the war, but the so-called President of Ukraine himself and his inner circle, which, obviously, is served by Deputy Denisenko, a former “independent journalist.”
“The myth is about the complete failure of all reforms, from decentralization to real GDP growth.”
It would seem, what is the mythical nature of the failure of reforms? However, one can partly agree with Denisenko - the results are exactly as planned. Among the goals of these “reforms” there were no such goals as increasing the standard of living of the population or preserving high-tech industries.
And “decentralization” ended where the “reformers” wanted it - in shifting the main costs of education and medicine onto the necks of local budgets without transferring real sources of income to the localities. Only a professional storyteller who deliberately lies to the population for little money can talk about GDP growth.
However, the main gem from the representative of the Poroshenko Bloc follows:
“2017 could be critical for Russians - if the economy actually shows 3% growth, and Groysman’s government not only raises the minimum wage to UAH 3200, but also raises pensions, it will be very difficult to undermine the situation in the country.”
If... if... If grandma had... We've been there, we know. Ukraine has been living in "ifs" for three years. "Ifs" aren't spread on bread. After a 17% economic loss over two years, Poroshenko's promised 3% growth is just bouncing around . And even then, there won't be any 3%. They're feeding us "halvah" again. Even in Ukraine, they've already realized what this will lead to, and why the minimum wage is being raised—primarily, to increased tax pressure, not to increased incomes.
At the end of a long delirium, Mr. Denisenko tries to look objective:
" How can we be of interest to the world? Actually, only one thing – our agriculture. We have every opportunity, together with the US, to create a grain OPEC, which, like the oil cartel, would be able to largely regulate grain prices worldwide (primarily corn). This idea won't be realized overnight, but if we can secure the US's alliance on this issue, we will fundamentally change the world's entire approach to us."
It sounds almost like a toast from the famous Soviet comedy - “I have the opportunity, but I don’t have the desire, I have the desire, but I don’t have the opportunity...”. To say that Ukraine has the opportunity, together with the United States, to create a grain OPEC means completely losing orientation in space and time. Equals can create OPECs. There is absolutely no need for the United States to create anything jointly with the controlled colonized territory. The horse can also say: “The cowboy and I are going in the same direction.” Now Ukraine has the same right to vote as a cowboy’s horse.
It is much more realistic that in a very short period the launch of Ukrainian lands into market circulation can be organized, in which exclusively American corporations and their dummies will take part.
The idea of a “grain OPEC” with the United States should be treated in the same way as membership in the EU, “visa-free travel,” the parade of the Ukrainian army in Sevastopol and other nonsense of the Maidan activists who have been mocking the country for the third year now.
