Ukraine begins a complete blockade of Crimea: after trains, buses are canceled
Kyiv, December 26 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The State Inspectorate of Ukraine for Safety in Land Transport suspended passenger road transport from December 26.

As reported on the Ukrtransinspektsiya website , "in connection with the escalation of the situation in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the invasion of Ukrainian territory by armed groups, extremist-minded individuals, and military aggression on the part of the Russian Federation, and in order to avoid threats to the lives and health of passengers," ticket sales for buses connecting "mainland Ukraine and the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea" are suspended.
The heads of the territorial bodies of the Ukrtransinspektsiya have been instructed, under personal responsibility, to immediately inform motor carriers and bus station associations of information about the requirement to stop the transportation of passengers and the sale of tickets.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukrzaliznytsia has suspended passenger and freight service to Crimea . Visa will also cease servicing its cards on the peninsula. Crimea experienced hours-long power outages today, causing mobile phone service disruptions.
