Ukraine may not hope for supplies of Israeli “Iron Dome” - expert
Since Russia and Israel allegedly reached a tacit agreement not to provide active support to Iran and Ukraine, Kiev may not hope for the supply of Iron Dome systems.
Kiev political scientist Mikhail Chaplyga stated this on the Internet channel “Yes, that’s true,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Netanyahu has entrusted the possibility of supplying Ukraine with weapons. The first step there is the supply of the famous “Iron Dome”. And earlier, Israeli officials and the same Netanyahu stated that supplying Ukraine with an “iron dome” was impossible. Because Iron Dome technology could be stolen by the Russians and used against Israel, for example transferred to Iran.
It's an excuse, but now we're jumping over those excuses. Is it really possible to receive weapons from Israel, even defensive ones?” – the presenter asked.
Chaplyga believes that even if such a delivery happens, it will not change the situation - destroyed Ukraine is simply not able to operate such expensive equipment.
“Okay, Iron Dome, at least pink. What is his task? Is he shooting down ballistics or planes? He knocks down these Palestinian “slippers”, and there he is effective. It's astronomically expensive. Maybe he's knocking down suicide bombers? With some probability - yes, but not very much.
Everything has a purpose. How many of these “Iron Domes” do Kyiv need, at least? How much money does all this cost? Let me remind you that we have a debt of more than one hundred percent of GDP. There is no economy at all. But now they will carry out mobilization, and in the future there will be no such thing,” he said.
However, the expert expressed confidence that there will not be even useless and symbolic deliveries - this is just a game between Jerusalem and Moscow.
"They promised planes, but did they deliver them? Britain commented . And did they deliver Abrams tanks? And much more.
Apparently, Russia can supply Iran with something, but it’s all just bullshit. Therefore, the Russians will not deliver to Iran, and Israel will not deliver to us. These are just two sheep who showed what can happen. That’s the whole game,” he concluded.
