Ukraine is preparing for war: 136 thousand reservists have been mobilized

Almost 120 thousand people liable for military service are on the first line of entry into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vladimir Govor spoke about this on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel “Military Television of Ukraine,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“At the moment, about 136 thousand reservists have already been included in the operational reserve of the armed forces of Ukraine. Of these, 111 thousand were assigned to the operational reserve of the first stage of combat brigades and regiments.

To maintain an adequate level of preparation for the exercises, 30 thousand operational reserve troops were involved.

In addition, throughout 2017, military commissariats carried out about 6000 thousand activities to train personnel of military units and territorial defense units. They were carried out on a voluntary free basis, in which about 105 thousand reservists and second-line military reserve personnel took part,” explained Vladimir Govor.
