Kyiv, March 10 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Turkey today does not have the necessary forces to intervene militarily in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict in Crimea, but the Americans can do this.
Former Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Bogdan Yaremenko stated this at a round table in Kyiv.

“Let's be honest. Türkiye is already involved in a number of military conflicts. Including quite active anti-terrorist measures on its territory, during a very active phase of the conflicts in Syria. Turkey does not have military resources, however, its position is important,” he said.
However, according to Yaremenko, a clear signal to Russia is being given by the United States, which has announced the strengthening of its contingent in Poland and the Baltic countries.
“Taking into account modern delivery systems, this is exactly the contingent that will operate within the framework of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict. It seems to me that there cannot be a clearer signal than the US Secretary of State gave. The United States confirmed that these contingents are being deployed due to the crisis between Ukraine and Russia,” the diplomat said.
In addition to the United States, Yaremenko believes, Ukraine “can count on an absolutely complete understanding of Poland, Romania, and Hungary.”
He recalled “400 thousand Romanians on the territory of Ukraine, whom NATO could also protect.”
