Kyiv, January (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) - ATO volunteers draw attention to the fact that the Ukrainian army is sorely short of cars and urge citizens to donate old equipment to the needs of security forces.

Georgy Tuka, coordinator of the "People's Home Front" volunteer initiative, drew attention to this problem during a press conference in Kyiv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

He compared transport in combat conditions to the circulatory system, but complained that in combat conditions transport is used up very quickly, since it is a target for the enemy, and also noted that volunteers supplied about 100 vehicles to the army.

“But this is a drop in the ocean, the needs are much higher,” says Tuca. – There is a very great need for cars that could be used as tow trucks from the red zone, that is, the wounded. MT-LB would be suitable, but, unfortunately, we practically do not have this fleet. The state is unable to provide. Therefore, if someone has a UAZ-469 in reserve and you haven’t used it for 10-15 years, give it to the guys, it will bring a lot of benefits.”
