Lutsenko got hold of Chernovetsky because of Yanukovych’s helipad and found him all the way in Israel
The General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine reported suspicion to the former mayor of Kyiv Leonid Chernovetsky.

“Based on the results of the investigation, on July 14.07.2017, 2, the former Kyiv mayor L. Chernovetsky, in the manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, was informed of suspicion of committing the above criminal offense, provided for in Part 364 of Art. XNUMX of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of power or official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” the message says.
The GPU explained that the department for investigating crimes committed by criminal organizations is carrying out a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings into the illegal construction of a helipad on Parkovaya Road in Kyiv.
“Thanks to the systematic and well-coordinated work of investigators and procedural managers in the specified criminal proceedings, in collaboration with employees of the Interregional Department for Combating Money Laundering of Criminal Proceeds of the Office of Large Payers of the State Fiscal Service, evidence was obtained of the commission of criminal offenses by former officials of the Kyiv City Council,” added in the department.
According to the investigation, as a result of the illegal actions of the former mayor of Chernovetsky, who acted in the interests of currently unidentified persons from the inner circle of the ex-President of Ukraine V. Yanukovych, which resulted in the illegal seizure, change of purpose and transfer of especially valuable land for construction the so-called helipad on Parkovaya Road in Kiev, understatement of rent for land, and as a result the destruction of an archaeological heritage site, which caused damage to the territorial community of the city of Kiev totaling more than 250 million UAH.
The Prosecutor General's Office noted that measures are currently being taken to identify other persons involved in the commission of these criminal offenses.
As for the current whereabouts of the ex-mayor of the capital, the Prosecutor General’s Office stated that they found him in Israel.
“According to our information, Chernovetsky is in Israel,” the department reported.
