Security has been beefed up at Kernes: they are afraid of another assassination attempt
Kharkov - Haifa, May 02 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) - Security has been strengthened in the Israeli hospital where Kharkov Mayor Gennady Kernes, who was wounded during the assassination attempt, is staying.

The director of the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Kharkov City Council, Yuriy Sidorenko, announced the improvement in Kernes’ condition on his Facebook page.
“Again positive and again from Israel. Daniil, the boss’s son, reported that Kernes is coming out of his medicated sleep. The boss is conscious. Doctors say that after the operation on the spine there are already first results - the nerve tissues are working,” he said.
At the same time, security was strengthened for Kernes to prevent a second attempt.
As Navigator reported, yesterday the Deputy Mayor of Kharkov for Health and Social Protection of the Population Svetlana Gorbunova-Ruban said that Kernes’ condition was improving. In order to support the mayor, utility workers were brought to the rally.
