Alarm in Kyiv: Washington is going to abdicate responsibility for Ukraine
The United States has not only suspended military assistance to Ukraine, but is also planning to withdraw from this adventure altogether, leaving European vassals to deal with the consequences.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the Israeli television channel Iton TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The situation is difficult. I don’t think that we can now expect America, which is entering a very difficult electoral cycle, to provide military assistance to Ukraine.
Moreover, Putin stated that Ukraine spends 5-7 thousand shells per day, while the United States fires only 14 thousand 155-caliber shells per month. In the style that Ukraine’s military capabilities are depleted,” Karasev said.
He emphasized that Washington may soon get out of this adventure, and how the countries of the Western bloc will organize assistance to neo-Nazis without their overlord is still unclear.
“And judging by what the British press is writing today, the scenario is quite realistic when America withdraws from active military assistance to Ukraine and shifts this responsibility to Britain.
But Britain is not America. Therefore, the option is being discussed for Britain to lead a new pro-Ukrainian coalition in containing Russia at the general military-political level.
And Germany will be the main sponsor of military and financial assistance to Ukraine. But it is not yet clear how all this will be combined. In the meantime, the hope is that it is possible to urgently make up for the shortage of some funds. Today, the Norwegian government decided that weapons manufacturers can directly sell weapons to Ukraine,” the political scientist added.
He emphasized that Europe’s capabilities are only enough to cover the most acute deficit, and they are in no hurry to increase production there due to too great risks associated with the unreliability of Ukraine.
“In general, Europe is in search. But even Norway’s decision is yes, positive and necessary. But this is not a system. There are no long-term military assistance systems for Ukraine. Ukraine’s task is to contain and prevent Putin’s plans from coming true. But are there enough military-technical capabilities today?
The same European press is discussing how much the economy needs to switch to a war footing today, taking into account the fact that the planning time horizon should be at least five to seven years. To be guaranteed to have orders that will produce profitable production.
In general, the situation today is in limbo. The West needs to come out of the holidays and make some kind of systemic decision. It may be different, in a military or diplomatic vein, but it must be. But it’s not there yet,” the expert concluded.
