“Only long-range artillery” - in Kyiv they called for razing the territories liberated from the Armed Forces of Ukraine
At this stage of the confrontation with Russia, it would be suicidal for Ukraine to directly attack Russian troops with infantry.
Former deputy head of the SBU Viktor Yagun said this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“If we now reach Volchansk, we cut off the railway connection with Russia from Belgorod, then we can then continue to Kupyansk. These two cities are the main suppliers of weapons that the group in Izyum receives. In this case, the Izyum group will be left without logistical support, without ammunition, and it will have no other way but to retreat.
I understand, I really want to organize the boilers, a bunch of prisoners. To be honest, we don't need it. Because, firstly, this is a blow to our army, because we need a huge number of people to restrain all this, we will have losses. The main thing for us is that they leave. We do not have the opportunity now to radically change the situation at the front with frontal attacks,” Ragul reasoned.
He also added that in the second phase of the war, Ukrainian infantry should not advance using only long-range artillery.
“The nature of the 2nd phase will be a slow progressive movement of Ukrainian troops on the fronts. Active use of long-range artillery, without attacks by infantry units.
The main thing for us now is not to lose our personnel, to prepare reserves that can be used in certain operational areas. And use our mobile groups only to go behind enemy lines and cut off their logistics delivery capabilities. Maneuverable guerrilla warfare behind enemy lines should be actively used,” raved the ex-deputy head of the SBU.
