Tymoshenko defended Zelensky and called on him to name his ministers
Yulia Tymoshenko, leader of the All-Ukrainian Union "Batkivshchyna" and People's Deputy, is convinced that the idea currently circulating in the Rada to revise the president's powers is unconstitutional, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In my opinion, the law proposed by Samopomicciu contradicts the Constitution. In addition, the country is tired of political intrigue, power-pulling and attempts to change the rules during the game. People are waiting for changes in their lives, actions and results,” Tymoshenko wrote on her Facebook page

According to her, the powers of the president are clearly defined by the Constitution. And the elected head of state must be given the opportunity to do his job, she added.
“It’s time for the next president to name his candidates for the positions of ministers of defense and foreign affairs, chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine, everyone he must name according to the Constitution. And the Verkhovna Rada should give the opportunity to appoint them as quickly as possible,” added the leader of Batkivshchyna.
As reported, in mid-April, representing the Samopomich party, Vice-Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Oksana Syroid suggested that people's deputies adopt a law on the President of Ukraine, which would “normalize” the powers of the head of state. The draft law on the President of Ukraine, the text of which is posted on the website of the Samopomich Association party, suggests that the powers of the president are greatly reduced in favor of the parliament.
