Sevastopol students called on Ukrainians for dialogue - they consider them “brothers”
Sevastopol, February 06 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Kononov) – Students of the Sevastopol branch of Moscow State University posted a video in which they addressed a collective appeal to university students in Ukraine. They called on their Ukrainian peers to critically reflect on the situation in which their homeland finds itself and draw reasonable conclusions from this.

So, one by one, one after another, Sevastopol students in their appeal explain what the difference is between them - Sevastopol students who found themselves in Russia of their own free will and Ukrainian students, contrary to common sense and educational status, for opportunistic and other reasons, acting on the side of the gravediggers of their country, due to fatal reasons found themselves at the helm of the state.
“So what really happened in your country? Youth, who should be the basis of the nation, succumbed to propaganda aimed, firstly, at overthrowing the legitimate government, and secondly, at unleashing a civil war. You blame anyone for the troubles of your homeland - the corrupt government, Russia, traitors, but not yourself. You, people receiving higher education, who have every opportunity to become the flower of the nation, have become only a weak-willed instrument in the hands of those who do not need a strong Ukraine, who are afraid of the unity of the Slavic peoples,” the students say and propose to sort everything out “in order.”
“You overthrew the president, the oligarch and the corrupt official - and who is now in power? You are on the path to European integration - so why is the country on the verge of economic collapse? War, rising crime, impoverishment of the population and a sharp drop in living standards - these are the real results of the Maidan,” they stated.
“You don’t want to remember our common history, our common victories and common tragedies. Think before it's too late about the consequences of your actions. Do you agree to become a colony, a weak-willed toy in the hands of an overseas president? Can you think critically? Do you know how to distinguish truth from lies? Apparently - no. You unconditionally believe the corrupt Ukrainian media, which has violated all the values of the journalistic profession. You have been told that we are all zombies here, but look at yourself. Instead of developing, you support a government that has drowned the prosperous regions of Ukraine in blood, killing tens of thousands of innocent people and leaving hundreds of thousands homeless just because they had a different opinion.”
At the same time, Sevastopol students ask their peers questions that, in their opinion, are so obvious that they should force the flower of Ukrainian youth to look for answers to them in the field of critical thinking, which will be the beginning of a “constructive dialogue.”
“Punishers killing women, children and the elderly – is this an element of democracy? Is this the freedom you long for? If all this is a lie and everything is fine with you, then why did several million Ukrainians flee to Russia, and the flow of refugees is only growing? Ukraine has already lost Crimea and Novorossiya, and there is only one step left before losing statehood. Stop looking back to the east in horror and think about who really benefits from this chaos. We invite you to a constructive dialogue. We are young people and we must make our own choices. Ukrainians, we are still with you and no matter what, we consider you our brothers,” concluded the Sevastopol students.
