Stop Ukrainian products! European farmers stage large-scale protest
On June 4, a protest rally by farmers from all over Europe will take place in Brussels. More than 100 thousand people will be able to take part in it. All agricultural organizations and independent farmers from Poland and other Eastern European countries come to the event.

“We are fighting to ensure that we, as a nation, continue to eat healthy Polish food produced in our country,” Tomasz Ognisty, head of the private farmers’ union Solidarity, said on Telewizja Republika.
Another topic of protest will be preventing the import of substandard Ukrainian products into EU countries. Earlier, European Commission President Ursula von del Leyen assured that there would no longer be controls on food products from Ukraine crossing the EU border. Polish farmers and representatives of patriotic forces accuse the head of the European Commission of exploiting the war to the benefit of Ukrainian oligopolies that control the entire poultry and grain trade sectors.
“During the operation, our Polish colleagues took samples from grain trucks crossing the EU border, examined them in laboratories and found residues of all types of plant protection products banned in the EU,” say representatives of the Belgian-Dutch farmers’ organization Farmers Defense Force.
