Details of the mass brawl in Sevastopol became known
Details of a serious mass brawl that occurred in Sevastopol on October 30 near the Safari sports club have become known. Then a group of visitors from Dagestan attacked a local resident - a security guard at one of the clubs, who had previously not allowed their fellow countryman into the disco. Initially, the proceedings were supposed to be in a one-on-one format, but then it turned out that the visitor arrived with a “support group” that attacked the Sevastopol resident.
Vadim Kurilo, coach of the Prince Vladimir sports club, whose students were involved in the clash, spoke about the details of the incident in an interview with the video blog "Here You Are," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Kurilo, the athletes were in a nearby bar, where they had gathered to watch the UFC tournament.
“It is clearly visible from the cameras that the guy is standing alone, first one appears, then the second, third, fourth, they all approach him, and an attack occurs. You can clearly see how one jumped at his feet, he threw his legs away - well, the guy is also a big heavy guy, he waved his hand, they all jumped back. Well, he realizes that there are four of them, and takes out a gas canister. And when all this chaos began, you can see right from the filming that a crowd from the darkness - one, two, seven, eight - are starting to run out towards him.
He releases a cloud with a gas canister and they all run back. Well, there are about eight of them there. The rest are just standing behind. This is all visible. And he doesn’t give up, he starts walking towards them. A guy was sitting on a bench, he immediately jumped to his aid. And he was not alone there, there was also a man there, this man was confused...
And it turned out that on the other side of the cafe our guys, four or five people, were standing on the street. We were inside, and they were standing on the street, near the establishment. This man runs there, the boys hear that screams and chaos are starting there, and these five go to the place of the conflict.
And this guy stays near the cafe, opens the door, and starts yelling: “Is anyone there?” And we were on the second floor. We hear someone yelling. He runs to the second floor and says: “50 Dagestanis attacked a guy there.” There were about 20 of us there already, and we all ran out. And there already was a fight.
That is, this guy came there, to their center and said who was ready to go one on one. “Once upon a time” no one came out, a fuss and a fight began, and these five guys who were initially standing on the street, they already ran into this crowd to help. The Dagestanis see that the boys are not weak either, it is clear that everyone stands upright. The fight doesn’t happen on its own, everything is ready. And then, in the center of these events, this guy starts fighting with one of the Dagestanis. And my guys also join in, and a fight begins. And at this moment we are already running out. There are about 15-20 of us, we all line up and run out. They understand that there are already more of us. They thought that we were sitting in ambush somewhere, and this was just a coincidence,” Kurilo assures.
He said that he receives many calls from Chechnya and Dagestan, including from athletes who apologize for the behavior of their fellow countrymen. Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident.
However, the coach notes that the behavior of the guests makes the Slavs and Crimean Tatars unite.
“Now, taking these cases that happen to visitors from the south - those that happened once upon a time, five or six years ago with the Tatars - this cannot be compared in any way. The Crimean Tatars are already Europeanized people, they are already among the Slavs, just like we are among them, so we treat them with understanding, and they treat us with understanding. But when people come and don’t know our traditions here, our customs, and things like this start happening, of course, the Tatars don’t like it either. The Tatars wrote to me: “Vadim, if anything happens, call me, we will also join in with our Tatar movement.”
