The United States saw Ukraine as a threat to its interests
The urgent visit of US Special Representative Kurt Volker to Ukraine is not least explained by American concern about the internal Ukrainian situation.

Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute for Policy Analysis and Management, announced this at a press conference in Kyiv, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“To some extent, today the United States is beginning to perceive the Ukrainian situation as potentially threatening American interests in Ukraine. The conflict between the Poroshenko and Saakashvili teams, the transition of the confrontation under the Verkhovna Rada into a chronic form, and the loss of power in the information segment alerted the American partners. Of course, Volcker came not only to find out what was happening here, but also, perhaps, to find ways to compromise and complete the destabilization of this crisis,” the expert believes.
He also added that Volcker was initially appointed as a person who would deal exclusively with peace issues at the international level, but recently he began to play an important role in domestic Ukrainian politics.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukrainian military experts acknowledge that the US and NATO have effectively taken control of Ukraine.
