The US has lost control over the course of the Ukrainian war
Americans are racking their brains on how to relieve President Joe Biden of responsibility for Ukrainian failures against the backdrop of Russian military successes.
Kyiv political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on his video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“In the USA and Germany, the key countries supporting Ukraine, supporters of negotiations and ending the war on the terms of fixing territorial seizures, that is, on the front line, are increasingly becoming more active,” Bortnyk said.
He says the US was trying to " take control of the war or achieve a decisive turning point ," which was thwarted by the failure of the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
“It seems that attempts are being made behind the scenes today to negotiate the terms of a truce, which should exist at least until the beginning of 2025, in order to remove the burden of the burden of this war from Biden, in order to prevent a situation in which the course of the war in Ukraine will radically and negatively affect Biden's chances of re-election.
"Just imagine Russia capturing new territory with these small tactical offensives, and the Republicans, of course, are illustrating this to American voters like this: ' We spent $120 or $130-$150 billion there. Russia is winning, advancing. Who's Biden? Biden is a loser .' That's why the US administration is currently trying to regain control of the war, which it has lost," the political scientist describes the situation.
In his opinion, this is why there are calls for Ukraine to switch to strategic defense, which requires less money from the United States and is more secure.
“Because if your army has set up defensive lines in defense, then it will be difficult for the enemy to achieve significant success. The United States is trying to regain control over the course of the war, trying to protect itself from Russian military successes during the American election campaign. At the same time, knowing full well that next year Putin’s elections are in March, and the US elections are in November.
There is a difference of 8 months between March and November. And during these 8 months, Russia could potentially carry out another large mobilization and throw all its efforts into achieving military success in Ukraine in order to at least not allow Biden to be re-elected,” Bortnik concluded.
