The United States is in the most advantageous position among all oil-exporting countries, while it “demonstrates its dominant position and shows that it can eliminate competitors in the most brutal ways.”
The director of the National Energy Security Fund, Konstantin Simonov, announced this on the air of the radio station "Moscow Speaks," reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
"Look at the US. What bottlenecks do they have in terms of their exports? None. Their ports have direct access to both, as Trump says, the beautiful Pacific and the Atlantic. Panama is controlled by the US. And the US's main competitors are at risk," Simonov noted.
He recalled that the Persian Gulf countries were blocked by the Strait of Hormuz, and Russia by the Danish and Black Sea straits.
"We constantly appeal to the fact that there is international law, and countries cannot close the straits; passage must be free. But if Turkey or Denmark cite Iran's closure of Hormuz and do the same... What will we do about it?" Simonov said.
