The US announced Javelins for separatists in Kosovo the day after Vucic’s visit to the Russian House
The very next day after visiting the Russian House, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic hurried to meet with the US Ambassador to Belgrade Christopher Hill.
And it was at this meeting that the American diplomat announced to the Serbian president about Washington’s intention to supply the Kosovo Albanians with Javelin anti-tank systems.

As reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , Vučić's meeting with the American ambassador took place the very next day after the multi-faceted Serbian leader, accompanied by the Russian ambassador, visited the Russian House science and culture center.
During the meeting, Christopher Hill announced that the US State Department would forward a request from the separatist Albanian authorities in Pristina to the US Congress for the purchase of Javelin anti-tank missile systems. Following this, an official ceremony would be held to hand over these weapons to the Kosovo Albanians and their Kosovo Security Force (FSK), which Washington and Brussels are gradually transforming into a fully-fledged army trained to NATO standards, in violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1244 (which prohibits ethnic groups in Kosovo from having their own armed forces).
Aleksandar Vučić told the American diplomat that this information was a great disappointment for Serbia, but his “ country, together with the United States, will work to maintain Serbian-American relations .”

“It is extremely important for us that peace in the region is not disturbed and that Serbia continues to behave responsibly and contribute to stability in the Balkans,” Vucic said.
He assured that Serbia is interested in strengthening economic cooperation with the United States at all levels and expects an increase in American investment.
