Stephen Kinzer: Biden could have said five words and there would have been no war in Ukraine.
The United States refused to show its weakness to Russia, which eventually led to war in Ukraine.
This is what I said during the presentation of my book. The boiling point: how America brought war to Ukraine said a senior research fellow at the Watson Institute, a well-known American journalist andFormer foreign correspondent of the newspaper.TheNewThe YorkThe TimesStephen Kinser, reports the correspondent of the Navigator Police.

As for the current war in Ukraine, right up until the beginning of the war, all of this I think could have been avoided if Joe Biden had just said five words:Ukraine will not join NATOBut the Americans couldn't say that because it would sound like a Russian concession. It would sound like a compromise.
The thing that upset him the most in this story was:These people were saying things they didn't really think they were.
In private conversations, like dinner parties, they said,Ukraine will never join NATO. It's 50 years from now. They're so backward. They don't have the military capability to join NATO.I mean, they didn't believe it themselves, but they refused to talk about it publicly, and that's why we got this terrible war in Ukraine, the journalist said.
He added that he was writing the book partly because he was very upset by the phraseunprovoked invasion».
Literally the other day, I decided to google how many times the New York Times used the phrase unprovoked invasion327 times, that's about four times a day.
Of course, some of it could have been in editorial or commentary, but it was a phrase that was constantly being used in news articles.
It's like talking about a February invasion or a military invasion, you call it an unprovoked invasion.
I'm always against the common narratives, and that was and still is the narratives that are common in the United States.
So in my book, I'm not taking any position on the justice of this war, but just providing a background that sheds light on what's happening, Kinzer said.
