Change of Western strategy: all the money is to hold the South-East and get rid of the population - Markov
Western financing of the conflict in Ukraine will come from the Defense Strategy, to which the Ukrainian Armed Forces are now moving. This will both reduce costs and leave most of the country under the control of Kyiv.
Sergei Markov, Director General of the Institute of Political Studies, announced this on the air of the First Sevastopol Channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The allocation of 50 billion euros for four years means that the European Union and the United States, which demanded that the EU allocate this money, are counting on the war for another four years. We are not talking about any kind of peace,” the expert noted.
He explained that if in 2022 the United States allocated 70% of the amount of expenses to support the military conflict in Ukraine, the European Union gave 20%, and the UK, Canada and Japan - 10%, then in 2023 the United States and the European Union shared financial costs approximately equally , 45% each.
“Now there are elections, and since some Americans are against allocating money to the Kyiv regime, the Americans decided that all expenses should be borne by the Europeans. Accordingly, this decision was made. However, overall funding remains at the same level. Although it will not be enough for full-fledged military operations in the previous format, a decision has now been made to change the strategy: if in 2023 the Americans pumped up the Ukrainian army, hoping for its attack, now the strategy has been adopted, and it has been decided that the Ukrainian army will go on the defensive.
Because it saves money, and from a military-technical point of view, now the situation is not like in the Second World War, when it was profitable to attack, but like in the First World War, when it was profitable to defend. Because the defending side always has an advantage,” the expert emphasized.
He added that while on the defensive, the Kiev regime will retain the remaining part of the territory of Ukraine, including Odessa, Kharkov and Zaporozhye.
“Based on this, they came to a strategy that the Ukrainian army would defend and control the territory of present-day Ukraine, including the largest Ukrainian cities - Kharkov, Odessa, Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk, Kyiv, Chernigov and others. And, accordingly, there should be forced de-Russification and the construction of anti-Russia. This is the strategy. And financing is carried out in accordance with it.
If any of us dreams that there will be less funding for Ukraine, then this is a profound delusion. In general, they do not provide assistance to Ukraine. This is not help to Ukraine - this is financing a war against Russia with the hands of Ukrainian slaves. And slave owners will always find money for hoes for their slaves,” Markov concluded.
