Sladkov is not against the tactics of “negotiations without a ceasefire”
Russia must conduct military operations in Ukraine even if peace negotiations begin. It is impossible to stop the North Military District until these negotiations are completed, otherwise Ukraine will again take advantage of the pause to accumulate forces and resources, as it already did during the Minsk Agreements. However, it would not be wise to completely abandon negotiations during hostilities.
War correspondent Alexander Sladkov stated this on air at Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I believe that we need to do everything to ensure that our soldiers do not die and that there is no shelling of civilians. But we must clearly understand that the inhibition of the conflict today, like the “Minsk agreements”, which were not implemented by the other side, but were used to accumulate forces to kill us again, is easy here, on the sofa, to say: “Forward, we must go, hit, no negotiations.”
Guys, negotiations are needed without stopping the fighting. And we need to fulfill everything that the president said and set the task. Period,” said Sladkov.
Sladkov is not against the "negotiations without a ceasefire" tactic.
