Scandal in Kyiv: Klitschko fired two city hall officials who had stolen
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko scandalously fired the director of the Kyiv City State Administration's (KCSA) social policy department and ordered the dismissal of the director of the department's tender committee and the heads of structural divisions involved in legal violations, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration.
As reported on the official website of the mayor's office, this decision was made after an audit of the financial and economic activities of the department based on information published in some media and based on requests from entrepreneurs.
“During the inspection carried out by the Department of Internal Financial Control and Audit of the Kyiv City State Administration, violations were found, in particular, of tender legislation, ignoring the principles of openness and transparency, neglecting economy and efficiency in the work of the social policy department. The audit materials have been sent to law enforcement agencies for an appropriate response,” the statement says.
Klitschko said that “the verification of the effectiveness of the use of budget funds continues in other departments.”
