Signal to Ukraine: Russia triples the railway flow to ports on the Black and Azov Seas
By 2019, Russia will triple the capacity of railways to ports on the Black and Azov Seas. There will be 3 pairs of trains running there per day, while now there is a maximum of 153, writes the Kommersant newspaper.
The expansion of traffic flow is associated not only with the construction of a bridge to Crimea - as experts interviewed by the newspaper note, in the south of Russia “there is a large-scale potential for growth in export cargo flows by 2025.”

Let us recall that previously Ukraine repeatedly protested against the construction of the Kerch Bridge. In addition to the political aspect, Kyiv is worried about the threat to the ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk.
The bottom line is that the main arch of the bridge sets restrictions on the size and draft of ships passing through the Kerch Strait. The length is 160 meters, the width is 31 meters and the height is 33 meters. At the same time, the capabilities of the ports under the control of Kyiv are for Berdyansk the length of the vessel is up to 205 meters, and for Mariupol - up to 260 meters and even more.
However, representatives of the DPR have already stated that oligarch Rinat Akhmetov has begun dismantling equipment from Mariupol's city-forming enterprises and is transporting it to the Philippines and Malaysia for scrap metal.
