Spy scandal. Minsk warned of “raising the stakes” in relations with Ukraine
As soon as pro-government forces in Belarus held pickets near Ukrainian diplomatic missions under the slogan “Who will be responsible for Odessa,” the SBU detained a KGB agent.
Minsk political scientist Alexander Shpakovsky, who is close to the Belarusian authorities, noted this coincidence, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The situation in Belarusian-Ukrainian relations continues to deteriorate. Yesterday in Minsk there was a picket of the patriotic public near the building of the Ukrainian embassy, today the SBU reported on the “detention of a Belarusian agent.” I think that the Belarusian side will also not rust with the increase in rates. This is the irreversible logic of the conflict. In a civilizational sense, the destruction of ties between Belarus and Ukraine meets the long-term strategic interests of the collective West in relation to the “Russian world,” says Shpakovsky.
As PolitNavigator reported, the SBU counterintelligence agency reported the capture of a Belarusian spy in Western Ukraine.
We also reported that Belarusians sentenced a Ukrainian spy to 8 years.
