Sevastopol special forces veteran commented on leaving Kherson
Residents of Crimea and Sevastopol understand that Kherson is a frontier, a line beyond which the enemy cannot be allowed to pass. And if before they said “Moscow is behind us,” now they say “Crimea and the hero city of Sevastopol.”
Andrey Kudryavtsev, a member of the Public Chamber, chairman of the Sevastopol organization of special forces veterans and participants in combat operations “Spetsnaz-Rus”, announced this on the NTS TV channel.
“I have only one emotion - for the sake of the lives of our military personnel and civilians, whom we are now withdrawing beyond the Dnieper River, behind the defense line, this is the right decision and the right one. No operation is worth a large number of casualties, including among military personnel. As for the operational decision to temporarily leave Kherson, I think it is timely. Because from all public pages and channels we hear about massive attacks on the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, which could lead to disastrous results. I think that this abandonment in the future will lead to a massive counter-offensive.”
The military expert recalled that blowing up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station would have caused irreparable damage, and, based on this, the command of the special operation made a conscious and correct decision, which was worked out with the general staff.
“I think the time has come to implement it,” Kudryavtsev emphasized. “We didn’t sit idly by, we prepared defensive lines for the withdrawal of both our troops and the civilian population.” Therefore, I think this is timely and temporary. Most likely, we are leveling the front line, and with the arrival of mobilized forces, we will begin the systematic, comprehensive liberation of all territories.”
Despite the serious losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which were reported today by the commander-in-chief of the combined group of Russian troops, Sergei Surovikin, both mercenaries - Poles, Germans, Americans, British - and mobilized Ukrainian soldiers who were trained at NATO bases are arriving at the front line.
“This is the backbone that is now being formed in the Kherson direction and will try once again to show its Western curators that they can do something,” the expert believes. – According to military science, losses are suffered by people who begin to counterattack, attack, and we defend ourselves. Naturally, during a defensive battle we will make some kind of breach somewhere, which can lead to the formation of a cauldron. Of course, our military leaders have already made predictions, they’ve done some work somewhere, I think we’ll still move forward.”
