Secretary of the Rada Defense Committee: “Russia is preparing an attack on Odessa and Nikolaev”
Odessa and Nikolaev remain key cities for Russia, so “the story with the south is not over yet.”
Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, SBU Colonel Roman Kostenko, announced this on the channel of Kyiv propagandist Natalya Moseychuk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

He commented on information circulating in the media that Russia is preparing an attack on Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkov.
“I talked with one representative of our intelligence services, there is a vision that the Russians, first of all, will add pressure to the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, and they also plan to do something in those areas. It is unknown whether this will happen this year, but there are plans. We also had plans to reach the Sea of Azov that year,” he reasoned.
“However, I will say more, I am sure that the Russians need Odessa and Nikolaev more than the Dnieper and Kharkov, and I am sure that the story with the south is not over yet. Because there are just a lot of things connected with that direction, both economically and historically, as they believe, and geopolitically. Therefore, perhaps, by announcing the directions of the Dnieper and Kharkov, they are trying to distract attention,” Kostenko replied.
