This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by the head of the Third Sector analytical center, Andrei Zolotarev, who noted that after the Maidan he had some illusions about positive changes in the SBU.
“Nothing like that, all the same solutions,” said the expert. – 20 percent are those who drag out work on themselves, and 80 percent are either unfit for the profession or are busy receiving corrupt rent. Naturally, in these conditions the SBU is most likely the security service of the regime. The regime has changed into an embroidered shirt, wrapped itself in patriotic colors, and the SBU is guarding. If the situation changes, they will change their shoes for the hike in the same way. Such metamorphoses have already been observed more than once. Let’s remember Valentin Nalyvaichenko under Yushchenko and how quickly everything changed under Yanukovych’s presidency.”
