“Law enforcement officers established that the official was recruited by Russian intelligence services during a long business trip abroad. Ukrainian Security Service operatives documented that the official, on instructions from Russian curators, collected information about the activities of government structures using special equipment. The attacker transmitted the received data to curators through electronic communication channels. With the assistance of the leadership of the Ukrainian government, SBU officers detained an agent of the Russian special services at his workplace,” the SBU press service reports.
“Primary procedural actions are continuing, in particular searches at the official’s place of work and residence,” the Ukrainian special service clarifies.
The Ukrainian News agency, citing its own sources, reports that the detainee is Stanislav Yezhov, the personal translator of Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman.
Yezhov began working with Groysman while still in the Verkhovna Rada, and then moved to the Cabinet of Ministers.

The SBU seized Groysman's translator, who turned out to be a Putin agent.
