Savchenko: about Crimea: there was an army - there were no politicians who could not share power
The Ukrainian authorities are lying when they say that in the spring of 2014 the country did not have a combat-ready army that could defend the Ukrainian status of the peninsula.
As reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , the controversial deputy Nadezhda Savchenko stated this on the NewsOne television channel.

According to her, the Ukrainian army was prepared, and the information that only a group of five thousand could be alerted does not correspond to reality.
“It (the army - Ed.) was skillful, there were professionals in it. This is not to say that it was not there. She could have carried out all the combat special operations in Crimea and not given up the peninsula. And we wouldn’t have had a war in Donbass. That’s why there was an army - there were no politicians who could not share power. We didn't have five thousand combat-ready people. The army at that time numbered up to 70 thousand. yes, 30 thousand combat-ready. And the rest could be put into service. Five thousand - this was combat-ready for the Crimea, advanced, on duty. And it would just be a blitzkrieg operation. And there wouldn’t have been any need for more at that moment. And then the situation changed and yes, now we need an army of millions,” Savchenko said.
